Happy Sunday, and welcome to Effortless & Edited ! I’m thrilled to blog again after a three-year hiatus.
Nearly a decade ago, I was living my London dream, working at Net-A-Porter and sharing my journey on a fashion blog. Now, as I approach my thirties, I’m curating a life that feels intentional and worth documenting once more. Each Sunday, I’ll share a note filled with the things currently inspiring me: fashion podcasts, Scandinavian brands, cozy books, Pilates trends, and whatever else catches my attention. Along the way, I’ll also document some outfits and talk about my favourite discoveries.
Grab a cup of tea, and discover my recommendations of the week!
What I wore this week
Between Summer and Fall
With fall slowly settling in, I couldn’t wait to pull out my &Daughter wool knit. I styled it with cream By Malene Birger jeans, my Hammock bag and finished the look with a pink lip, Merit’s Signature Lip in the shade Sunday.
I’ve been using the Indyx app to digitize my wardrobe. It might sound a bit crazy, but trust me, it’s worth it. The process helps me edit down and refine my wardrobe so it truly reflects my style.
Everyday delights
Miette Sandwicherie
September sunsets
This week I stopped by the new Miette Sanwicherie on Notre-Dame West. It’s now the only bakery in Montreal that sells cardamom buns, so be sure to go early if you want to snag one. I’ve signed up to a class this fall with my mom where we’ll learn how to make them ourselves. I’ll share the results here when (or if!) I finally master a good batch!
Another thing I love about this time of year is the pastel sunsets that light up the evenings. They never fail to inspire me and remind me why I’m so drawn to spring/summer colour palettes.

Listen
How Madison Sullivan-Thorpe and Rhiannon Joyce Landed their dream roles on Style-ish
A fascinating listen on how two successful women in marketing carved out their careers. This episode is part of the new bi-weekly series on Style-ish Podcast, discussing all things branding, marketing, and fashion. If you want to learn more about founder stories and innovative marketing campaigns in the fashion and beauty world, give it a go! I particularly loved hearing about Madison Sullivan-Thorpe’s years at Mecca (the biggest Australian beauty retailer).
Nick Brown (Investor behind The Real Real, The Row, Glossier, etc) on Fashion People
Another fun episode if you like hearing about the behind-the-scenes of fashion labels. Lauren Sherman interviews Nick Brown, managing director of Imaginary Ventures, which he co-founded in 2018 with Natalie Massenet (aka, founder of Net-A-Porter). They discuss branding, e-commerce, investment decisions, and the state of multi-brand retailers in 2025.
Read
City of Night Birds, Juhea Kim
One of the most memorable novels I’ve read all year. The book is set between St. Petersburg and Paris, and follows the rise and fall of a prima ballerina. I won’t say more about the plot - I don’t want to spoil it - but it was such an emotional and deeply well-researched book. It makes for the perfect Fall read.

By Malene Birger SS26 Trunkshow on Moda Operandi
I’ve been doing a deep dive on the Danish brand By Malene Birger for a Fashion Marketing course I’m taking, which means I haven’t stopped looking at their collections. The brand’s aesthetic balances Scandinavian minimalism with a bohemian edge, and it’s right up my alley. One piece in particular that caught my eye is the Villies cream denim jacket, which you can pre-order as part of Moda Operandi’s trunk show (only for the next couple of weeks). It has the most beautiful collar and would look incredible layered over an all white outfit. It goes straight on my Pinterest board!

Skall Studio, the sustainability-focused Nordic label, has just released a coffee table book dedicated to knitting, Danish wool, and their signature sweater patterns. I’ve ordered a copy and can’t wait to spend a few hours reading about the brand’s values and thoughtful approach to knitted design.
